Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam is one of the famous temples in India it is a self-governing trust which is maintained by Tirumala Venkateswara temple located on the seventh hill of Tirumala, in Andhra Pradesh. It concerned in several social, educational, literary and religious activities. The employee in TTD about 16,000 and TTD is headquartered at Tirupathi.
As a result of TTD Act the TTD was recognized in 1932, as per the Act the administration of the temple was a committee with seven members and direct by Commissioner who was appointed by Madras Government. There were two advice councils one is calm of priests and administrators of the temple who manages the committee with all functions of the Tirumala temple. The other one is a farmer for the advice of Tirumala land and zone transactions.
The number of trustees was expanded to five to eleven with compulsory representation from certain communities by Andhra Pradesh Charitabillity and Hindu Religious Institute and Endowment Act 1969 and the Board of Trustees was expanded to eleven to fifteen.
Services:
Various services provided by TTD for the devotees like accommodation, food, bus facilities, they manage the queue system to distribute Laddu and head tonsure.
They arranged a lot of information and ticket centers in major cities and towns across the country. It has established many educational institutes like schools, colleges and it also introduced many marriage halls. It has established Sri Venkateswara Central Library and research center (SVCLRC) in 1993 with 40,000 volumes of books. The complex queuing algorithms and emerging technologies have been designed by TATA Consulting Services to control the huge crowd.
Department:
TTD consists of almost all departments that would be in government. Engineering, Production, Human Resources, water supply, procurement, information technologies, forests and gardens, hospitals and education institutes, revenue and general administration and public relations department.
Annaprasadam:
It launched “Annaprasadam” which offers food at TTD massive way in mutrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam complex which was donated by Mr. Matsuri Tarigonda Ananta Koti Raju at Tirumala. They arranged a queue system to fool hall at compartments of Vaikuntam Queue Complex I and II. Here the devotee’s donation will be nearly 130 million every month.

- Sri Venkateswara Polytechnic for the Physically Challenged (SVPPC), Tirupati
- Sri Padmavati Woman’s Polytechnic College, Tirupathi.
Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshna Shala
It is a shelter for donation of Godanam which was established in the year 1956 by TTD located at Chandragiri Road. This trust is maintained by TTD based on the donation received by Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshna Shala Trust. It provides a good environment, management and feeding to the cattle. The cow milk will be used for god Venkateswara in daily rituals.
